Register for Bands Night 2021!

Thank you for your interest in participating in Ohio State Bands Night! This event allows current high school junior and senior musicians (Class of 2021 and 2022) to explore opportunities for applying their talent to The Ohio State University Marching and Athletic Bands, concert bands, and jazz bands.

The 2021 Ohio State Bands Night will be held on Sunday, May 2, from 3-5 p.m. Registration is open now at this link. Contact osumb@osu.edu with any questions.

Instead of an in-person event, Bands Night 2021 will be held virtually over Zoom.

Bands Night Schedule

3 p.m.: Introductions and welcome

3:15 p.m. Overview of the band program at Ohio State, featuring faculty and staff from the School of Music. Discussion will include Marching and Athletic Bands, concert bands, jazz bands

3:45 p.m. Breakout rooms organized by instrument, where potential students will have the opportunity to ask questions of our student leadership and parents can ask questions of band faculty and staff

4:15 p.m. Virtual tour of marching band center, Ohio Stadium and selected campus locations

4:45 p.m. An introduction to Ohio State traditions including school songs

Who is eligible to participate?
The event is open to all high school juniors and seniors (Class of 2021 and 2022) interested in participating in band at Ohio State — including The Ohio State University Marching and Athletic Bands, concert bands and jazz bands. While the Marching Band is an all-brass-and-percussion ensemble, there are plenty of ensemble opportunities for woodwind players in the Ohio State Bands.

Where and when is this event?
Ohio State Bands Night will be held on Sunday, May 2 from 3-5 p.m. Normally held in person, this year's event will be held virtually via Zoom.

How do I sign up?
Registration is available on this page. Participants will be emailed a link to join the Zoom session at a later date.
