I am so grateful to be awarded this scholarship, and I cannot thank you enough for your generosity. I am going into my third year at Ohio State as a Political Science and History Major on the pre-law track. This generous sum helps me further my education and relieves some of the financial stress that comes with being a busy college student. Your kindness is helping me get one step closer to my dreams. I have the honor of going into my third year of TBDBITL. For the past two years I was a member of D-Row and a competing candidate for the position of Drum Major. Throughout that experience I got to know the Ohio State band family, and it’s become a second home. I am so grateful to be part of such an amazing community, and I hope to pay it forward in the future as you have done for me. I am excited to continue my TBDBITL journey as a baritone player of M-Row, and I look forward to doing everything I can to uphold the excellence of our extraordinary organization.
Emily Harbison
My name is Emily Harbison, and I have just begun my third year at The Ohio State University, and my second year as a member of The Ohio State University Marching Band. Being a part of this incredible organization has taught me so many life lessons and given me plenty of lifelong friends and connections. No other organization on campus creates the same bonds and has the same passion as The Best Damn Band in The Land, and I am extremely proud to be a part of it. In my academics, the structure and discipline of band has created lasting and useful habits that have given me the drive to go above and beyond academically and professionally. With your gracious support, students like me are able to reach their highest potential and will be leaving this University better than we found it. I know the alumni family will welcome me with open arms when the time comes. Thank you so much for your generosity!

I cannot begin to thank you enough for your generous scholarship. I have always wanted to do a fifth year of band after not being able to march any games in the 2020 season, and thanks to your scholarship, my dream became true. A little bit about me, I am going into my 5th year majoring in music education. I will be student teaching in the spring. My plan after graduation is to get a masters degree in trumpet performance.
Marching band has been the most influential part of my college career. It has given me my best friends, roommates, and it is such an honor to be part of the tradition of excellence that this band has. This will be my second year serving as head squad leader of B row, and I am excited to lead B row through an exciting season. I included a picture of me from last year marching during script Ohio. Thank you so much for making a direct impact on my last year in the band.
