The Ohio State Spring Athletic Band took to the basketball court on Wednesday, Feb. 1, to share some Buckeye pride with everyone at the women’s basketball game against Penn State.

During the halftime performance, the band performed the classic Ohio State hits “Buckeye Battle Cry” and “Hang On Sloopy.” They also performed their own unique take on the Incomparable Script Ohio.

Sousaphone player Drake Addis, a third-year studying computer and information science, had the honor of dotting the “i” and said that it truly was an amazing opportunity.

“Once Script Ohio started, all my nerves went away, and I went out and played like it was my last-ever performance,” Addis said. “It was so exhilarating to do the strut and then play the solo afterward. It wasn’t easy, but it’s definitely an experience I’ll never forget.”
