Members of the Marching and Athletic Bands will be performing at the grand centennial celebration of the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums at Spiegel Grove on Saturday, May 28, in Fremont, OH. At 1 p.m., band members will march from downtown Fremont to the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums, and at 1:30 p.m., they will perform at Spiegel Grove.

This celebration over Memorial Day weekened commemorates 100 years since the founding of America's first presidential library. While governor of Ohio, Hayes urged the state legislature to pass legislation to found a new land-grant college, setting the wheels in motion to create what would eventually become The Ohio State University.
