The Ohio State University Marching Band brought the sights and sounds of Broadway to Ohio Stadium during its halftime performance at the Ohio State-Rutgers game on Oct. 1.

The show, “Buckeyes on Broadway,” gave nods to classic Broadway tunes “No One Mourns the Wicked” and “Defying Gravity” from Wicked, “Knights of the Round Table” and “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life” from Spamalot, and “Hakuna Matata” and “The Circle of Life” from The Lion King. The band also performed “The Room Where it Happens” and “My Shot” from Broadway’s recent box office hit, Hamilton.

Broadway veterans Kristen Chenoweth, who starred in Wicked, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote and starred in Hamilton, gave shout-outs to the band’s performance on Twitter, expressing their excitement towards the tribute.

Wow @OhioState your marching band just did a halftime tribute to Broadway. And killed it! Amazing! We love it!!
